I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a peaceful setting. The rooms are spacious, clean, and even have three windows to let in natural light. I especially appreciated the attention to detail, like the option of having a small kitchen in the room. The breakfast was a delight, with homemade jams that were absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The prices for both the hotel and the restaurant were very reasonable, offering great value for money.

There was nothing to fault about this hotel.

The owner and his team were very attentive and made you feel special whilst being extremely friendly. Food was excellent - the owner is the chef. Location was good - close enough to Cochem for shops, restaurants, the river, etc. but far enough away to enjoy the countryside. Owner speaks excellent english.

We've travelled all over Europe and stayed in many hotels but our experience with Hotel Winneburg was by far the most positive and pleasurable Hotel experience we've ever had. The location was perfect for exploring the Mosel River Valley and was only a short hike up to an old castle ruine. The room was large, clean and completely comfortable, we slept better at Winneburg than we do at home. The absolute best part was the owner Frank and his staff. Frank treated us like friends and was the most accommodating host we've ever met. Frank is also a gourmet chef and prepared some of the best meals and desserts you can imagine; we never bothered to have dinner anywhere but in the Winneburg restaurant because it couldn't be beat. We stayed for 5 nights and really hated to leave; when we left it was like leaving friends behind. Frank and Hotel Winneburg really set the standard for a pleasurable bed and breakfast experience in Germany and we definitely intend to return.

    Nothing. Everything was perfect.

This hotel offers incredible value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail that is truly impressive. The location is absolutely perfect, situated in the beautiful Valley and just a short distance away from the Winneburg ruins and castle. The staff at this hotel goes above and beyond to ensure a delightful stay, providing excellent service and making you feel right at home. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, including a small kitchen and a balcony to enjoy the stunning views. The breakfast is a true highlight, featuring a wide selection of dishes and homemade jams that are simply divine.

All aspects of this hotel were fantastic, nothing to improve!

The staff were extremely friendly and had a good knowledge of the surrounding area and were therefore able to offer great information on various activities which were available. The hotel was situated a little outside the village which resulted in a lovely peaceful location. The dining room was tastefully decorated and the food good. A scrumptious evening meal was available for an additional cost.

Tha bedroom could have had a little more character.

The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the local attractions, including a visit to the impressive Cochem Castle ruins. The rooms are well-equipped, with a small kitchenette and a balcony to enjoy the scenic views. The homemade jams served at breakfast add a delightful touch, and the friendly staff ensure a warm and welcoming stay.

    Everything was simply fantastic!

We stayed over night in a small room on the second floor. It was clean and average. The breakfast was large, diverse and good tasting. The hotel itself is undergoing repair. It is located on a bend of a busy road 4 kg above Cochem.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Winneburg. Frank was extremely helpful to us and the rest of the staff was more than kind and eager to please! The hotel is just about 1.5 kilometers above the town of Cochem, which is the sweetest place to visit! It's nice to be a bit outside of the town and feel at peace among the trees and hillside. . . you can hike around the area and the setting is very relaxing! The food was marvelous and they do a fantastic job preparing unique local dishes. If you are a light eater or normally can't finish your meal (like myself) they will make you a half portion of any entree (and mind you they are large portions). The cleanliness of the room certainly met our expectations and the internet was never spotty, which we encountered in several other places of our trip. I would definitely recommend staying here to any travels looking for a wonderful spot, but who are also traveling on a budget. . . it's a great value and experience for the money! We would certainly stay here again if we were to visit this area of Germany!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, with easy access to the town center and Winneburg ruins. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional, and the facilities were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking was convenient with ample space. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious, featuring a variety of options to choose from.

Nice place, great food, friendly staff. Great for exploring Cochem and around while not staying in the (busy) city. A walk up to the Winneburg ruins is especially lovely. Next to a rather busy road, which you dont hear inside.

From your room you can noise from the kitchen, toilets being flushed, etc. For light sleepers, this might be annoying.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful spot away from town. Very friendly staff and owner speaks perfect English. Free parking and internet. Great breakfast.

Need a car if you are visiting Cochem.
